Aurora, the powerfully simple photo editing, organizing and sharing software (now available for Mac and PC!) is FREE for 24 hours. Yes, anyone can download Aurora to own it forever – for free – between 9:15 am Eastern on 6/15 and 9:15 am Eastern on 6/16. We’ve got something else in store for July that will enable you to put Aurora to good use.
Share your best edited shots to win big throughout July
To celebrate great photos and great photo editing made simple with Aurora, we’re holding an Aurora Friday Photo Editing Challenge this month…and everyone is invited to participate for a shot at winning some big prizes. We’ve got three incredible guest judges lined up – Tracey Clark from ShutterSisters.com, Amy Locurto from I Heart Faces, and Julie May from UnScene Photography Tour. July 15, 2009Pumpin’ Pal Review & Giveaway
July 14, 2009I am a breastfeeding mother who works full-time outside of the home (and then full-time once I’m in the home!). I spend at least 60 minutes a day during the workweek hooked up to my breast pump. Until last week, I spent almost all of those hours hunched over and, then later, in pain. Last week, I started using Pumpin’ Pal Super Shields and I can actually sit comfortably in a chair and pump!
I honestly think this comic from their site sums up the before and after quite accurately!
I received the “All-in-one” kit, which contains 3 different sizes of the Super Shields, a hands-free strap, a pocket guide to breastfeeding, and an accessory bag. I used the chart on the website (and included with the kit) to determine which size shield would work for me. I washed and sterilized the BPA free shield and gave it a go at my next pumping. At home, I have an older model Ameda pump and the shield fit pretty well into it. (You use this shield in addition to the shield that fits your pump). There is a little bit of a sticking issue when I take the shields off, but the fit of the shields while pumping is fantastic. I took the shields with me to work the next day to try in my Medela pump. The shields fit perfectly into the Medela parts.
Using these shields has really helped my posture while pumping and my back and neck don’t hurt nearly as much as they did before. These shields are now a must-have product for any mom who will be pumping.
Before I used the shields, I was concerned that milk would get “lost” by getting stuck in this shield, but that has not turned out to be a problem. I was also worried about them being uncomfortable, but that was also not a problem. They are also a cinch to clean with a bottle brush!
My only real problem with the shields is that they tend to make the shield and bottle even more top heavy, so you just need to be careful not to knock over your liquid gold while unhooking and cleaning up.
As for the other products in the kit, the hands-free strap is a pretty nifty gadget that keeps you from having to hold the bottles the whole time you are pumping. The accessory bag is awesome! I use it to toss the clean parts in when I’m on my way out the door in the morning to keep them from getting mildew-y. I don’t know about all of you, but I have a ton of info about breastfeeding. But, I found the little book to be quite handy. I leave it in with my pump so I can turn to it if I have a quick question.
To buy your own Pumpin’ Pal products, visit Pumpin’ Pal today.
Or, you can win your very own All-in-one kit! Pumpin’ Pal is offering the same kit I tried to one of our lucky readers.

Learning Curve-The First Years Kickin’ Coaster
July 14, 2009
The Kickin’ Coaster from from The First Years has surpassed every baby bounce on the market. It’s like the all in one baby bowflex gym/sleeper/soother/play. It has lights for visual. Music for baby’s listening pleasure. Vibrations to calm and sooth. The best part the seat slides up and down when baby kicks and can also be locked in place. Your child is getting physical development as well. The Kickin’ Coaster is ideal for newborns and infants. Visit Learning Curve to find out more about the Kickin’ Coaster.
The Kickin’ Coaster falls into the top 6 baby items bottles & feeding, diapers, clothes, carseat, crib & The Kickin’ Coaster. It is a first class product and this one product addresses what babies need. Instead of buying three separate products you get it all in one. Which means less money and it saves space in your home.
The seat slides up and down when baby kicks and can also be locked in place which is great because big brother wanted to slide the little one up and down. I love the Kickin’ Coaster provides plenty of entertainment while I can not hold my little one and he is snug and happy. Bottom line a really great product, I recommend it.
The Kickin’ Coaster is one product that can be found at Learning Curve along with the many other name brand items they have to offer like SuperWhy!, Lamaze, Disney Baby, and Bob the Builder.
